Schnoodle

Lilianna's Angel Tree grant is just over the halfway mark to reach the $1,000 goal!  She's now "moved up" to join the group of kids whose grants have reached over the $500 mark.  Yay!  So what does that have to do with the title of my post?  Nothing. I just wanted to share that great news first.  On Saturday, we adopted a dog!  We got Luna from a local rescue organization who got her from an animal shelter. (10 points to the person who can tell me where we got the name Luna from). She's a "schnoodle" (poodle/schnauzer mix). She's the best dog ever!! She's so cute, sweet, smart, and well behaved. She fits right in with the rest of my kids ;-)  Here are a few pics of her with her new family:

  2. Hmmm...Luna. Was it the name you would have given if you had the chance to name your daughter? My other guess is that wolves howl at the moon, but she's not even close to a wolf. :-/

  3. Nope, Megan, but good guesses! Actually, if we had named a daughter "Luna" she would have been Luna Fick....sounds too much like "lunatic" haha! :-) It's a character in a book. Hint: Ben's pet snake, Hagrid, is also named from the book.

  4. Well, there is the Luna, like the moon, or Luna bars (which I eat every day, but I double you named her after a nutrition bar), Luna rockets, still unless she's the fastest dog ever, I doubt you named her after Russian rockets. OH, I just read the hint. This must be a name in Harry Potter, but I haven't read the series, so I don't know if that's right. Megan is the Harry Potter fan :-).
