I took these photos of Darya on my phone this evening and just love them. They just seem to catch her sweetness so well! The weather was absolutely beautiful and Darya loved exploring on our front lawn and picking at the grass. In the meantime Joel and the boys played some football on the road. A family from church, the Germeroths, stopped by to bring us some dinner (Darya loved the mac-n-cheese!). It was so nice to see them and to eat some delicious home cooked American food! Look at our beautiful and happy American girl. I can confidently say she does not miss the orphanage:
She is SO CUTE
ReplyDeleteAww! She looks completely different than that picture you have of her on the top of the blog. What an amazing transformation!
ReplyDeleteBe blessed
She is adorable!!
ReplyDeleteI agree.....PRECIOUS!!! She looks so happy :) With that shirt on, you can definitely tell how petite she is. I am sure you will get her plumped out in no time. I see you are already enjoying having a girl...hence the bow in her hair.
ReplyDeleteOh, Marianne, I am so happy to see beautiful Darya on a grassy lawn, not bundled in coats, with the fall sun warming her sweet little face. It just warms my heart so much!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd, in regards to your last post.... Tea and fruit drink??? No milk or water??? No wonder their teeth are rotted when they come home and the kids are so thin! My goodness!! And, Joel is a wonderful husband to take care of everything for you while you are away and home. I am the pile-dropper. Tom is the picker-upper. :) I don't hang my clothes up- they go on the tile ledge around the bathtub. My mom would be mortified to know that her daughter just can't seem to hang anything up! Somehow, magically, the clothes get put away every week. hehe And, somehow, magically, Tom gets dinner and baked treats every week. It's an even trade. :)
So happy for all of you!!
ReplyDeleteOk, I have to know, how did you happen to buy the perfect size clothes to bring to EE for your little princess?
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone! Summer - I totally guessed her size. I brought 18 month size for her and they fit! Actually I brought mostly summer clothes since it was warm there and a few varieties of sizes, and my sister brought her shoes with her when she came out (the ones I brought were too big) :-)
ReplyDeleteAdorable! When do i get to meet her?!
ReplyDeleteSOOOOOOOO CUTE!
